A High Country Tradition

High Country Firs partners with a small grower in the Appalachian Mountains called High Country Christmas Trees, owned and operated by Rob Hunt.

High Country Christmas Trees is a small grower who has been producing high quality Fraser Fir Christmas Trees for over 30 years.

Rob Hunt was introduced to the Christmas tree business in 1975 while he was a graduate student at Appalachian State University. He worked for a small grower part time to fund his education. In 1976 he took over a field of neglected trees and High Country Christmas Trees was created. The business has expanded to three farms in the High Country of North Carolina and Virginia.

High Country Christmas Trees take pride in growing healthy, fragrant, lush, high density trees. Rob Hunt has been family friends for decades with Keith Chesnutt, owner of High Country Firs, and has been partnering with High Country Firs for 5 years.
